THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

('Aseret HaDevarim)

Ten of The Matters

A Complete Unit of The Words

Names (Exodus) Chpt. 20:3-17

1. Names 20:3 - It will not exist to you other powers above My presence. (Acknowledgment of YHWH in all that you do)

2. Names 20:4 - You will not make to you a chiseled image, and any resemblance that is in the heavens from above, and that is in the earth from below, and that is in the water from under the earth... (You are made in His image; you are the only reflection/reminder of Him needed in all the earth)

3. Names 20:7 - You will not lift up > the name (identity/character) of Yahweh your Powers to lack content and value; because Yahweh will not protect > he who will lift up > His name (identity/character) to lack content and value. (The reflection of YHWH's identity/character is confined to you. To misrepresent it is to cause His name to lack content and value, and be disrespected in the eyes of others)

4. Names 20:8 - Remember > the day of the Shabbath, to prepare it... (Shabbath is a time of rest from work in the field to repose for YHWH's people, a mark of covenant relationship)

5. Names 20:12 - Honor all that is in relationship to your father and > your mother ... (They gave you this life. It brings eternal possibilities)

6. Names 20:13 - You will not murder. (Premeditate to take a life you did not create; it begins with hatred in the heart)

7. Names 20:14 - You will not turn away from one to another. (If you do not turn away from your relationship with YHWH, you will not turn away from your covenant relationships with others; if you marry them, it is not adultery, adding to but not taking away from your house)

8. Names 20:15 - You will not steal. (YHWH promises to meet all your needs, not your wants)

9. Names 20:16 - You will not make dependent against your neighbor a false witness. (A false witness will cause those dependent upon it to distance themselves from your neighbor, bringing disunity)

10. Names 20:17 - You will not covet a house of your neighbor; you will not covet a woman of your neighbor, and his servant, and his maidservant, and his ox, and his donkey, and all that is to your neighbor. (Coveting is focusing on any want above YHWH, causing a violation of the first commandment, it is idolatry!)

"The Scriptures of the Way" Hebrew - English Interlinear Torah translation

The Ten Matters/Commandments are the witnesses of YHWH. (Names (Ex.) 25:21; 31:18) These passages of the concrete translated text, explain how to fulfill Yeshua's New Covenant summation of them into the two:

1. "Love Powers with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength." (the first four)

2. "Love your neighbor as yourself." (the last six)

"The end of the whole matter, it has been heard: all relating to the Powers--fear, and all relating to His commandments--keep; because this is the whole duty of the man; because all relating to every deed, the Powers, He will bring into judgment upon every hidden thing; if functional, and if dysfunctional." (Eccl. 12:13,14)
