HOW TO READ THE SCRIPTURES

Repetition is learning             Review is wisdom

Daily bread - Read the word (at least) 3 times a day!!! Deut. 8:3; Mat. 4:4

  • Breakfast - 1 chapter of Psalms; 1 chapter of Proverbs

  1. Psalms is encouraging, keeping you in right perspective of worship

  2. Proverbs is everyday practical wisdom

  • Lunch - 2 chapters of the New (2nd) Covenant (New Testament)

  1. New Covenant writings are the fulfillment of First Covenant prophecies in Yeshua. Deut. 18:15-20; Mat. 5:17; Luke 24:27,44

  2. We are to be imitators of Yeshua. 1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; Heb. 6:12

  • Dinner - 2 chapters of the First Covenant (Old Testament)

  1. The First Covenant is the history of our beginnings as man: What, Who, and Why we exist. We need to know the history of our ancestors so as not to make the same mistakes, and not miss our purpose of existence in the generation we find ourselves. Psalm 119:89,90; 1 Cor. 10:11

Start at the beginning of each categorical section of the scriptures i.e. Psalms, Proverbs, The New Covenant in Matthew, and The First Covenant in In Beginnings (Genesis).

Pick up where you left off the previous day. You should have 4 page markers. When you have completed each section, start over!

Trust me, you will not be able to stop the wisdom and knowledge from flowing through you to conquer every trial of Life.

"For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh." Prov. 4:22

These six chapters a day will see you complete the First Covenant (Old Testament) once, the Second Covenant (New Testament) twice, parallel to Psalms 3 and a half to 4 times, and Proverbs every month, all within 9 months.

This regiment is for beginners (new believers/spiritual babes) to grow to maturity. Everyone, in beginning, should read through the whole of scripture at least once every year!

Remember, you can read more! You must! Given the present state of affairs in the world, we need to be available vessels of Powers for grace to much more abound where sin abounds. I now find myself enabled to continue reading whenever I have down time throughout the day. YHWH will enable you to do the same, if there is a willing desire.

Your life's purpose depends upon it, and those in your realm of influence also!

Shalom
